The “Alternative” Bloc has launched the electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of 28 September 2025. In a speech delivered on this occasion, Ion Ceban, one of the party’s leaders, emphasised that his team was ready to extend the transformations achieved in Chisinau to the national level.
“We are building Europe here at home. We urge you to give us your vote of confidence and we will prove that it can be done. Just as we have shown that it can be done in Chisinau,” said Ceban, recalling that kindergartens had been rebuilt, schools had been extended and modernised, hospitals and health centres had been repaired and equipped with medical equipment to European standards.
He noted that massive investments had also been made in infrastructure in Chisinau:
“We have modernised parks and squares, rehabilitated boulevards and roads, provided modern street lighting and better conditions for public transport.”
At the same time, Mr Ceban said that the local administration was paying special attention to social support for vulnerable groups.
“Today, we provide over 100 social services for different categories of citizens. We care for the young and the old. It is regrettable that Chisinau is practically the only municipality where these transformations are visible and they are happening on a daily basis”, added the leader of the “Alternative” Bloc.
In his message, Ceban criticised the current government for “incompetence and arrogance”, saying it deepened social divisions and failed to deliver results.
“Our common goal is to get the society united and start building the Republic of Moldova. We have solutions and we are ready to deliver results very quickly for the country, for the citizens of the country, wherever they are. People are tired of empty promises, they need good roads, decent salaries and pensions, quality services. The Alternative bloc is the political entity that will deliver these results”, said Ion Ceban.
He concluded that the responsibility for the future of the Republic of Moldova belonged to its citizens: “At home, in our country, no one will come to put our house in order for us. Let’s put things in order, let’s do justice, let’s restore our citizens’ confidence in tomorrow and let’s take care of every citizen. This is what we intend to do. May it be a good beginning!”
